RINDGE, N.H. —

A Massachusetts man was killed in a head-on crash in Rindge, New Hampshire on Wednesday night.

Police said Richard Pezzolesi, 52, of Winchendon, Massachusetts, was driving his Ford Fiesta westbound at 9:15 p.m. on Route 119 when he tried to turn onto Old Ashburnham Road and crossed into the path of a Jeep Compass that was heading east.

The vehicles collided head-on, then rolled together for more than 100 feet. Police said the Jeep ended up on its passenger side, stacked on top of the driver's side of the Ford. They said a fire then broke out and Rindge firefighters, with the help of a good Samaritan, extinguished the fire.
