A veteran BBC reporter and his wife rushed to hospital with burns after their home was engulfed in flames by a devastating house fire. Retired news reporter Nick Palit, 60, revealed that he and his wife Angela managed to get out safely and had to watch on in horror from their garden as their three storey home was destroyed.
The pair have been left "traumatised" by the blaze at their waterside home. In snaps obtained by the Mirror, the extent of the damage to their property can be seen. Nick, who worked as a reporter and presenter for BBC Wales for almost thirty years, did not reveal the cause of the fire in Penarth Marina in his post.
