SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - Members of the Grant Beach Park community met Wednesday night to discuss how to improve the park.

The neighborhood association and park board asked how the park can better serve the neighborhood. One big area of discussion included the future of the pool. A spring storm damaged and closed the pool house at Grant Beach Park. Other ideas included adding a skate park and focusing on maintaining what’s already there.

The neighborhood association says this is the first step in developing a comprehensive plan to improve the park.
