A new Guinness World Record has landed in Alberta, and it belongs to Beef the steer, a towering Holstein cow.
Beef is officially the world’s tallest living steer, coming in at a whopping 1.95 metres, or 6 ft 5 in, surpassing the previous record holder by half an inch. He lives in Picture Butte with his owner, Jasmine Entz.
Entz decided to keep Beef as a pet after bringing him home from the dairy farm where she works.
“When I originally got Beef, it was with the intent to break him to ride like a horse, and I knew he was going to get big, but I never expected he was going to get this big,” she said when speaking with Daily Hive.
Entz says when Beef was a baby, he was just your average Holstein calf.
