The Morgan County coroner has identified a 91-year-old who died Wednesday after a train hit a vehicle in Hartselle.
Morgan County Coroner Jeff Chunn identified the driver of the vehicle Thursday as a Hartselle man, Franklin D. Turney.
Police responded to the scene, located at the railroad crossing at College Street, Wednesday afternoon.
At the time of the incident, Turney was headed eastbound in his vehicle while the train was moving northbound.
Police say the train pushed the vehicle 800 yards north of where it had been crossing the tracks, and Turney died from his injuries.
The wreck is under investigation.
