After a week-long break, the Emporia High girls’ tennis team is back in action this week, looking to continue medaling at events. Last time out, the Lady Spartans travelled down to the Kossover Tennis Center in Topeka.

At the last event, starting with the singles players, Kali Keough would go undefeated, 5-0, at the event and secure first place. Izabella Hinst would finish on the podium in singles with a third-place finish after posting a 3-1 record. On the doubles side, both duos would tie for first after both went undefeated. Sharing the first place are Peyton Chanley, Kinsley Hines, Chelsea Mendez, and Alexa Tovar.

The team seems to have its rhythm, as the past couple of events have seen someone on the team winning a medal, whether it is a singles player or a doubles team. Head Coach
