In the wake of Assamese singer Zubeen Garg’ s tragic death, Assam Police ‘s Special Investigation Team (SIT) has conducted raids at three places, including one linked to the organiser, in Guwahati to investigate the singer’s drowning accident, reports NDTV.

According to the report, a search was conducted at the house of Northeast India Festival organiser Shyamkanu Mahanta, who is also the Assamese singer’s manager, and that of his sound recordist. Earlier, the Government of Assam had banned Mahanta from organising any events in the state.

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has assured that all angles related to Garg’s death will be probed and the case would be handed over to the CBI in case SIT’s investigation is not satisfactory.
