An Australian music festival has confirmed US singer D4vd has been removed from its lineup after the decomposed remains of a teenage girl were found in the boot of his car.

The 20-year-old singer-songwriter, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, was due to perform at Spilt Milk in Ballarat , Perth , Canberra and the Gold Coast in December.

The festival quietly removed his name from the festival’s website and marketing material last week before publicly confirming the decision on Thursday.

“We can now confirm D4vd will not perform at Spilt Milk and we are working on a replacement booking which we’ll announce as soon as it’s finalised,” they wrote on social media. Loading Instagram Post
