When traveling, you should probably double check your bags to make sure you’re not forgetting anything — but if you plan on flying, you should also make sure you’re not packing anything that isn’t allowed through security.

The Transportation Security Administration has added three more items to its list of prohibited items .

Cordless butane curling irons , and cordless flat-irons or cordless curling irons containing lithium metal or lithium ion batteries or are gas or butane fueled are no longer allowed in checked bags when boarding a flight.

If people choose to fly with these items, they are only permitted to do so with carry on bags and must abide by special instructions.
