New York governor Kathy Hochul did not realize that the fans at the Ryder Cup really like Donald Trump when she was booed on Wednesday at Bethpage Black on Long Island.

NBC broadcaster Carson Daly announced the guests in attendance for the ceremony, but once he reached the governor, loud boos could be heard on the broadcast.

According to social media footage, golf fans attending the opening ceremony ahead of the US’s matchup against Europe unleashed on the Democratic leader as she walked on stage.

“You’re the worst,” one attendee could be heard saying.

Daly tried his best to quiet the crowd by throwing out a joke that she isn’t NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, but it did not go over well with the crowd, according to The Athletic.
