September’s been a strange month for fans in the stands. With a billionaire tennis spectator ending August by snatching a souvenir hat from a kid, we’ve seen Phillies Karen follow in 9/25, a less infamous Chargers Ken pop up in the NFL, and now this Seattle Mariners fan who’s behaved quite the opposite.
The fan in question was in the bleachers when Mariners slugger Cal Raleigh struck 59th and 60th home runs during a playoff-clinching 9-2 win over the Colorado Rockies on Wednesday night.
The Mariners are postseason-bound for the first time since 2001, making that 60th HR ball even more meaningful. However, the man who caught it immediately gave it to a kid and is now being lauded as the “Anti-Phillies Karen” following a female Phillies fan hounding a youngster and his dad over an HR ball
