DALLAS — Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem ordered "enhanced" security at U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facilities across the country after Wednesday's deadly shooting at an ICE office in Dallas .

One ICE detainee was killed and two others were wounded in the shooting that happened shortly before 7 a.m. Wednesday at the Dallas ICE office at 8101 North Stemmons Freeway in Dallas, off Interstate 35E, Department of Homeland Security officials said.

The shooter, later identified as 29-year-old Joshua Jahn , died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to officials. Dallas Police Chief Daniel Comeaux said an officer found the suspected shooter on the roof of a nearby building.
