Ayodhya, Sep 25: Senior Samajwadi Party (SP) MP Awadhesh Prasad has reaffirmed party president Akhilesh Yadav’s pledge to revoke all legal cases against veteran leader and former minister Mohammad Azam Khan if the SP forms the government in 2027.

Speaking to reporters Prasad asserted, “Akhilesh Yadav will become Chief Minister in 2027, and within 48 hours of taking office, every single case against Azam Khan will be withdrawn.”

Calling Khan a “highly respected and senior leader” of the party, Prasad accused the ruling BJP of targeting him with politically motivated and fabricated charges. “The BJP has deliberately trapped him in false cases. He has unjustly spent nearly two years in jail. This will not be forgotten by the people,” he said.
