BERKELEY COUNTY — Fire crews are on the scene of a home collapse and possible explosion in the Cordesville area.
According to Berkeley County spokesperson Jenna-Ley Walls, the first crews responded to the Rufus Lane property around 7:40 a.m. after receiving calls about the home collapsing and potential explosion.
Fire crews from North Berkeley, Moncks Corner, Goose Creek and Summerville responded to the scene, along with Berkeley County EMS. The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office is also assisting at the scene.
Two victims have been transported to the hospital. The investigation into what happened is ongoing.
