NEW YORK CITY, New York — After more than a decade on the air, MTV has canceled “Catfish: The TV Show” following its ninth season, two of its main cast members, Nēv Schulman and Max Joseph, confirmed on Instagram .

According to Variety , the network confirmed the decision this week, allowing producers to shop the series to other platforms while reruns continue to air.

“What an incredible journey it’s been. First of all, huge, huge thank you to our crew,” Schulman said in the Instagram video posted this week. “But the dedication, the patience, the commitment to making sure everything was exactly what it needed to be.”

Schulman and Joseph also thanked the fans for their support through the years, especially since many shared their stories for the show.
