BROOK PARK, Ohio - The Ohio Department of Transportation recently reversed course and approved the proposed height of the new Browns stadium in Brook Park, near Cleveland Hopkins International Airport.

This approval came after an ODOT-hired consultant dismissed airport safety concerns raised by the city of Cleveland. Read the full story here.

ODOT decision

ODOT’s decision was primarily driven by a report from an independent consultant, which concluded the 221-foot structure would not require changes to flight operations at the airport or pose new hazards. In addition to going 221 feet above ground, the stadium is designed to go 80 feet below the surface, in part to limit its height because of the nearby airport.
