The men's basketball team at UNC Greensboro is adding a second trip to Asheville this season. In addition to the Southern Conference tournament in March, the Spartans will play UNC Asheville on Dec. 2 at Harrah’s Cherokee Center. It is designated as a neutral site game. Harrah’s Cherokee Center-Asheville has been the site for the SoCon men’s and women’s basketball championships for more than 20 years. This will mark the first game between UNCA and UNCG since Dec. 19, 2017, when the Bulldogs won 67-60 at First Horizon Coliseum, formerly known as Greensboro Coliseum. The Spartans are 9-4 against the Bulldogs, dating back to 1993. The entire UNCG men's basketball schedule will be released soon, according to the school.
