A Tulsa woman says she’s growing increasingly uneasy as more homeless individuals are seen in her neighborhood — a change she believes is linked to recent state efforts to clear out encampments through Operation SAFE.
From Highways to Front Lawns
Kyndal Baker, who lives near 51st and Yale, has only been in the neighborhood since March. But she says in just the past week, she and her neighbors have seen a noticeable change.
“Ever since the past few weeks, implementing the new policies... they don’t really know where else to go, and so they’ve been coming into the neighborhoods,” Baker said.
