WALLER, Texas (KIAH) -- A man was arrested and charged with the murder of a 3-month-old infant from almost two years ago, authorities in Waller County said.

Shawn Washington was arrested and charged with murder and injury to a child with serious bodily injury, the Waller County Sheriff’s Office said.

Back on Dec. 19, 2023, police in Prairie View started an investigation where a 3-month-old infant died after suffering serious injuries during an accident.

But investigators from WCSO and Texas DPS troopers decided to charge Washington with murder of the child.

Washington was arrested on Tuesday. There was no word on his bond status.
