Young Vancouver Giants defenceman Ryan Lin is adding more accomplishments to his resume as he prepares for next year’s National Hockey League (NHL) draft.

Last season, Lin, 17, recorded the most points (53) by a Giants rookie defenceman. Now, Lin is the first Western Hockey League (WHL) player named to the Canadian Hockey League (CHL) USA Prospects Challenge.

The challenge is a two-game series between Canada and the U.S., featuring the top prospects for the upcoming NHL draft.

“It’s a tremendous accomplishment and well deserved,” said Giants general manager Hnat Domenichelli.
