TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - Two dozen guinea pigs have been recovered from a Phoenix residence and returned to their Marana-based animal rescue.

The Phoenix Police Department found the animals after serving a search warrant the evening of Friday, Sept. 26

The Lidtke Small Animal Foundation said the guineas were taken from its facility early in the morning three days earlier on Tuesday, Sept. 23.

The LSAF also said its security camera caught video of two people of interest—now identified by PPD as two 14-year-old girls from the Phoenix area.

A third suspect, 47-year-old Heather Jenson, is the mother of one of the two girls, and is familiar to the Marana-based rescue.
