MESA COUNTY, Colo. (KREX) - The Mesa County Coroner's Office announced the identities of the two people found dead in a residence on 28 1/2 Road on Tuesday.

Tori Godina, 65, and Brian McCarty, 38, both of Grand Junction, died from gunshot wounds. The coroner's office stated its findings suggest there were no other individuals involved with their deaths, but the investigation is ongoing.

The Grand Junction Police Department previously stated McCarty's gunshot wound appeared to be self-inflicted. Godina and McCarty's bodies were found after officers received a welfare check. A coworker told law enforcement they had not seen one of the individuals at work for several days.

GJPD is overseeing the investigation.
