Stark drone footage shows the demolition of a former car garage in Edinburgh as a new coastal neighbourhood moves closer.

Images taken from Seafield Road shows work being carried out to demolish the former Vauxhall Garage after it closed a number of years ago.

Back in 2022, plans were submitted for the redevelopment of the site with up to 220 homes - including affordable housing.

It was hoped the plans would act as a catalyst for the regeneration of Seafield.

Back in September 2024 , we reported a master plan to transform Seafield into a new environmentally friendly neighbourhood was released by the Council.

Currently in the consultation phase, the site could deliver over 2,000 homes, a new primary school, GP surgery and plenty of green space for Seafield as well as a Waterfront Par
