A COURT in Pune on Thursday granted bail to Dr Pranjal Khewalkar — the son-in-law of former Maharashtra minister Eknath Khadse — and two others who were among the seven persons arrested after a drug party raid in the last week of July.

Khewalkar, the husband of Eknath Khadse’s daughter Rohini Khadse, who is the NCP (SP) Maharashtra Women’s Wing president, and the six others including two women were held after the Pune Police’s Crime Branch raided a rented studio apartment in the upmarket Kharadi area around 3.20 am on July 27 after receiving a tip off about a party there.
