A popular Korean dish is being recalled due to undeclared allergens that could pose serious health risks, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

Lee K of NY Inc., based in Flushing, is recalling its 57-ounce packages of “Stewed Aged Kimchi w/ Mackerel” because the product contains undeclared milk and shrimp.

Individuals with allergies to these ingredients risk serious or life-threatening reactions if they consume the product.

The recall affects products distributed to supermarkets in New York and New Jersey.

The kimchi is packaged in a black-bottomed plastic container labeled with UPC number: 27300700000 and an expiration date prior to September 16.
