You won’t need to worry about the price of stamps rising anytime soon — the United States Postal Service announced that it will not seek a price increase in early 2026.

Postmaster General David Steiner confirmed on Wednesday that USPS will not raise prices in January for Forever First-Class stamps and other market dominant products.

The price of a stamp, or to mail a one-ounce single-piece First-Class letter, will not increase in early 2026.A price change won’t come until mid-year next year, according to Steiner.

Mid-year price changes are typically made in July.

The price of a Forever stamp is currently 78 cents.
