RIDGELAND, Miss. (WJTV) - Officials with the Madison County School District said a bomb threat was called into Ridgeland High School on Thursday.
They said the caller indicated that the incident would occur on September 26, 2025.
Local law enforcement conducted a sweep of the stadium and cleared it for normal operation. Officials said students and staff were evacuated to the stadium on Thursday, while law enforcement conducts a sweep of the rest of campus. After the sweep, the students resumed their normal activities.
According to the school district, a perpetrator was identified. There will be overnight security at the school, and an additional sweep will occur Friday morning. Officials said there will be classes on Friday.
