A spokesperson for Orland High School District 230 board announced this week that Nadine Scodro resigned from the board Sept. 22 due to personal reasons.

District spokesperson Jennifer Waterman said the school board has 60 days to find her replacement. The process for applications has yet to be determined.

The selected new board member will serve until the next election in April 2029, Waterman said.

Scodro, a graduate of Carl Sandburg High School, was board secretary and co-chair of the Education Committee. She also was last year’s co-chair of the Student Support and Development Committee

She was appointed to the board in January 2024 to fill the vacancy left by the resignation of Melissa Gracias in November 2023. Scodro was elected to a full term in April.
