The Mashpee High School boys’ golf team picked up a victory on Monday afternoon over Sturgis East by a 121 to 72 score.
Brandon Baptiste led the team with a round of 38, which was good for 24 points in the Stableford system. Gavin Lakatos had one of his best rounds of the fall, scoring 23 points after scoring a round of 39.
James Benners garnered 20 points for the squad. He shot a 42. Sturgis’s best player, Max Kuhn, led his team with a round of 40.
With the win the team moved to 4-5 overall on the season. The team will be back in action on Monday afternoon, September 29, with a road trip to play at Carver High School. After that the team has a rematch with Sturgis on October 1 on the road.
