Tens of thousands of dedicated Brisbane Lions and Geelong Cats fans are expected to turn out on Friday to watch their favourites paraded through the Melbourne CBD on the eve of the AFL's pinnacle event.

The Lions and Cats won through to the last Saturday in September after outlasting the 16 other clubs, and are now on the prowl for the premiership cup.
