SUNRAY, Texas (KFDA) - Sunray High School is scoring big on a national stage and was named one of 25 finalists in T-Mobile’s Friday Night 5G Lights contest.

The honor comes with a $25,000 prize to help repair the Bobcats’ football stadium after severe wind damage earlier this year.

The grant will fund upgrades like new sound and electrical systems, internet and track repairs.

T-Mobile is set to host a celebration of this win on October 10 during halftime of the Bobcats’ home game.

Sunray is one step closer to the grand prize, which is a full $1 million field makeover and more.

To help Sunray, voting opened today and will last until October 24, with its grand prize announcement on October 30.
