MANSFIELD, La. -- 911 services are down in multiple parishes in northwest Louisiana.

The Bossier, Caddo, DeSoto and Natchitoches sheriff's offices cannot accept 911 calls.

The DeSoto Parish Sheriff's Office said a major fiber cut is affecting all landline phones. So, residents can't call 911 or the main office number.

A cell phone has been set up in the dispatch center to accept calls. For emergencies, call 318-947-7901.

The Caddo Parish Communications District said the outage affects the entire parish. Wireless, landline and VOIP calls are affected, including the inability to call 911.

The Bossier City Police Department and Fire Department are experiencing outages on the 911 system. Residents should call 318-741-8977 for all police emergencies until the situation is resolved. For med
