UPDATE: The Chattanooga Police Department tells Local 3 that there's no threat to the public as crews search the Tennessee River for a person near the Market Street Bridge.

A portion of Riverfront Parkway has already been closed due to Chattanooga IRONMAN events, but officials encourage drivers and residents to avoid the area.
