Tulsa Police arrested a man accused of pulling a rifle on students after a high school football game this week.

Investigators say a group of players got into an argument Monday following the McLain–Hale junior varsity matchup.

That’s when officers say 34-year-old Darian Edmond grabbed an AK-47 style rifle from his car and threatened several students.

Tulsa Public Schools says both campus police and Tulsa Police are investigating.

In a message to junior varsity football families, the district wrote:

“Nothing matters more than keeping students safe in our schools. We encourage our students, families, and community to always report safety incidents or concerns to our safety hotline by calling or texting 918-480-SAFE.”
