SPARKS, Nev. (KOLO) - The RTC of Washoe County says a portion of Sparks Boulevard will be closed starting this Monday.
A closure of Howard Drive will begin on Sept. 29 and will be a part of the Sparks Boulevard Project.
The closure will last around two weeks and will allow crews to work on underground utility improvements.
Detours via O’Callaghan Drive and Sparks Boulevard will be available during the closure.
“We encourage drivers to plan ahead and allow extra drive time as we make these improvements,” RTC Project Manager Garrett Rodgers said.
The Sparks Boulevard Project is expected to be done in 2027 and cost around $86 million.
