KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) – A fuel spill early Thursday evening has closed part of state Route 61 in the Chelyan area, including the Chelyan Bridge, the West Virginia Division of Highways reported.

The agency said the incident happened when a truck split a fuel tank. It was reported before 5 p.m.

All lanes and an access ramp are closed in that area, according to the WVDOH.

There were no initial reports of injuries.
