FORT VALLEY, Ga. — Fort Valley State University announced on Thursday that their band is suspended due to allegations of hazing.
The university issued a statement to 13WMAZ saying that the Blue Machine Marching Band will "suspend all activity" because of the claims.
They said that the situation is under investigation and that "FVSU takes acts of hazing and allegations of hazing seriously."
Later in their statement, they also said that the "safety and well-being of our students and Wildcat community are always our top priority."
The university said that no other information is available at this time.
