Jasper County Sheriff Chuck Havard says a Buna man went to jail on Thursday after he was found to be in possession of child pornography.

The report said 31-year-old Joe Sanders had been under investigation after the department received information that Sanders was distributing child pornography through a social media app.

Havard said Investigator Karli Cherry along with the U.S. Marshal’s Service executed a search warrant at Sanders’ home on County Road 721 early Thursday morning and found child porn.

Sanders was taken to the Jasper County Jail and charged with Possession with Intent to Promote Child Pornography.
