ROCKY RIVER, Ohio -- Republican Michael P. O’Donnell, an attorney representing corporate clients, is challenging incumbent Democrat Jeanne P. Gallagher for the Ward 3 City Council seat this fall.

The election is Nov. 4. Early voting begins Oct. 7.

Gallagher was first elected to the seat in 2021. She has lived in the community with her family for more than 28 years.

She is a human resource and fiscal officer for the Ohio 8th District Court of Appeals in Cleveland.

O’Donnell is no stranger to City Council, having served as the Ward 3 councilman before Gallagher’s election in 2021.

He served on council for 10 years, from 2012 to 2022.

He said that since leaving City Council, he has worked on a number of economic development projects in the city.
