MINNEAPOLIS — It was a big week for Minneapolis, and for its hotels.

According to Meet Minneapolis, hotels had their best week ever between Sept. 14 and 20. That's best in terms of demand and revenue.

There were numerous events that contributed to those numbers, including Farm Aid 40 at Huntington Bank Stadium, among other concerts. There were also home games for the Vikings and Twins, and a home playoff game for the Lynx. Meet Minneapolis added that there were two conventions at the convention center as well.

Over the seven days, 63,402 hotel rooms were occupied — the first time weekly demand exceeded 60,000, Meet Minneapolis said. The daily record for hotel rooms was also broken.
