ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - For a second time this year, a special committee of state lawmakers considered changes and possible expansions to the state’s medical marijuana program.
Currently, patients suffering from a list of 17 conditions ranging from end-stage cancer to seizures, Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease, PTSD and chronic pain, among others can access the state’s program, and only in the form of THC oil and edible products.
Lawmakers on Thursday debated expanding the list of conditions to include conditions like insomnia, non-PTSD anxiety, depression and fibromyalgia.
