Two men charged with armed robbery in Carbondale

CARBONDALE — Two men were charged with armed robbery after an incident on South Cedarview Street.

At 6:13 p.m. Sept. 23, Carbondale police officers responded to the 800 block of East Main Street for a report of an armed robbery. Officers learned the victim was walking in the 100 block of South Cedarview Street when a black Ford Focus drove into a nearby parking lot and stopped. This vehicle was occupied by two males, both of whom had bandanas covering their faces. The driver displayed what appeared to be a firearm. The passenger exited the vehicle and stole the victim’s property. The suspects then drove away, last seen going east on East Walnut Street.
