ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Life after football looks different for everyone.

But for Super Bowl champ and Pro Football Hall of Famer Ed Reed, that means more football at Chamblee High School.

“You’ve got to have an exit plan, I always did,” Reed said. “It’s kids and you’re paying it forward. I have a life full of knowledge up until 47. You’ve got to pass that on to the youth.”

Head Coach Bob Swank had an opening and Reed had a quick answer.

The nine-time Pro Bowl safety was named Chamblee’s offensive coordinator in January.

“I studied offense my whole career and there’s more to learn,” Reed said. “I have ambitions and aspirations to be a head coach. I know defense, learn offense. I know special teams, learn the other side even more so. It’s been fun. I’m learning more.”
