LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — Officials broke ground Thursday on the site of a temple that sparked controversy in a Southern Nevada community.

Elder Michael A. Dunn presided over the ceremony at the future site of the Lone Mountain Nevada Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints . During the ceremony, he prayed for the individuals who would begin work on the temple.
