LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - PILLAR is inviting the community to an evening of spooky fun while standing against bullying.

On October 4, Pillar will host its Halloween Spooktacular, which will act as a fundraiser to support the organization’s community goal of standing against bullying and strengthening suicide prevention efforts.

According to Jesus Garay with PILLAR, “Some people may be asking, ‘Well, aren’t you already getting grant money to be able to provide these services?’ Yes, we are, but unfortunately, the money that we have targets specific individuals, such as those suffering from issues with housing or people who have recently come out of prison. So, we’re hoping to be able to widen that spectrum so that the average Laredo citizen can have access to these services as well.
