A police probe into a scandal-hit funeral director has uncovered more than 70 new victims.
It is now feared there could be hundreds of victims after the collapse of Dumbarton and Glasgow based firm A Milne Funeral Directors.
The criminal probe into the firm, named Operation Koine, began in May last year following allegations of missing ashes, families given wrong remains and financial misconduct.
Forensic teams searched the firm’s Springburn premises for 11 days after officers raided the business. At the time, Glasgow City Council confirmed that 19 urns were recovered.
Now police have revealed many more victims have come forward to report crimes – including financial fraud as well as remains being mishandled.
