SALEM, Ohio (WKBN) -- The Columbiana County Humane Society got a much-needed upgrade as the facility continues its ongoing makeover.

Wayne Doors donated two garage doors to the humane society, helping enclose the shelter's detached garage.

The installation is a big step for the shelter as it moves forward toward revamping the entire facility.

The area will be used to allow animals to destress, as well as a training area that will double as a recreational space during colder winter months.

The shelter says the renovations wouldn't be possible without the donation.

"It will not be possible. We put our money into taking care of animals. Our budget is all donor-based. We are working on animal care, and that's where our budget goes to. The shelter cannot afford a project like this. It has
