ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) - The Rapides Parish Ambulance Advisory Committee met this week to review ambulance services provided by Pafford EMS.

Residents said they are concerned with Pafford’s response times and quality of care provided by their paramedics.

“I can’t think of anything more important for the jury than the health and safety of the people of Rapides Parish. I think we all agree that is our highest calling,” said James Roland.

Roland said his father died while in Pafford’s care. He said the company lacked proper equipment and training.

“Not only did they not have the adequate equipment, but they did not have it in a timely fashion,” Roland told the committee.
