NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) - Tropical formation chances are on the up and up in the Atlantic Basin this week, and we have the latest on all of it...

Starting with Tropical Storm Humberto whose 470-miles northeast of the Northern Leeward Islands with maximum sustained winds of 60-mph and tropical-storm-force winds that extend outward up to 90-miles from the center.

The National Hurricane Center says that "Humberto is moving towards the northwest near 6-mph, but a slow west-northwest to northwest motion is expected during the next couple days."

The NHC forecasts that Humberto will see "significant strengthening" as its expected to become a hurricane on Friday then a major hurricane this weekend.
