SPOKANE, Wash. — A deadly shooting Wednesday night shattered the peace of a typically quiet Spokane neighborhood where families regularly walk the streets and children play in backyards.

Spokane police report the shooting occurred around 8:45 p.m. on September 24 near the intersection of 34th Avenue and Havana Street in the Glenrose neighborhood, just blocks from Chase Middle School.

The Glenrose neighborhood usually has a calm atmosphere. However, on Wednesday night when police officers arrived at the scene, they found two men already dead and a third man critically injured.

Police said all three people involved in the shooting knew each other, though investigators are still working to determine the extent of their relationship and what led to the shooting.
